What Are Vector Graphics?

There are two main types of computer graphics: raster and vector.

Raster graphics are made up of tiny grid-like dots called pixels, each with its own color value (such as tone and gradation). The quality of a raster image depends on its resolution – the higher the resolution, the clearer the image. Photographs taken with a camera are typical examples of raster images.

Vector graphics, on the other hand, are built from geometric elements such as points, lines, and curves. Because these shapes are defined by mathematical equations, vector images can be scaled up or down infinitely without any loss in quality.

Since our founding, Baby Universe has specialized in developing software that automatically generates vector graphics, starting with 2D and now expanding into 3D vector graphics automation.
Our world-class vector graphics technology is used in a wide range of applications, from barcodes to electronic circuits, supporting design automation across industries.
